Entry from: Humahuaca, Argentina Entry Title: "Viewing the Hornacal, the 14 coloured mountain" Entry: "A few notes on the bus first, it is very full. My bag is the last allowed in the luggage store. Others aren't so fortunate, this is the first time I've seen a bus luggage store full and not allow anything else on, so might be a good idea to load early if you can. Also at the border the roads magically turn into what I remember as roads, smooth and tarred very possible to sleep. We don't know anything about Argentina really so this town is a bit of a random throw of the dice, on the map the guy gave us there is a picture of some amazing mountains so I decide I want to see them. Closest town, Humahuaca. We arrive in at about half 11 at night and the town is pretty small, who would have known the first hostal we checked would have been the cheapest but after refusing the 20peso price prices then rocketed to 50 and 60 pesos it was close to 1am before we found our spot for 25 including a light breakfast. It's not expensive thinking about it but when you've just come from Bolivia the mind has lost all sense of what expensive is. The woman running the place is absolutely fantastic and for her sake I hope anyone going there pays her a visit. On the 17th Argentina have their second world cup game against ...
